Overview
Essential Info
The University has recently built a new Aircraft Maintenance Training
Centre for our aeronautical awards, which includes a BAE Jetstream
aircraft, laboratory equipment, a gas turbine engine, wind tunnel
upgrade and a flight simulator, as well as state-of-the-art
engineering analysis software.
A key element in the employment of postgraduate engineers is
progression to management, so you will develop relevant managerial
skills during this course, as well as an awareness of the wider issues
that impinge on the aeronautical industry, such as the environment and
safety. We have comprehensive links with industry through our
Industrial Panel, which contains representatives from major companies,
including BAMC, Storm, GE, Nordam Europe, TES and BA Avionics.
Mandla Sibana, from South Africa, talks about how Glamorgan’s BSc
Aeronautical Engineering degree allows him to use a flight simulator
and train on a full-size commerical plane. Also – the low cost of
living at Glamorgan and the social life.
