Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Bachelor Degree in Biology. For other academic bachelors in science, applied science and life sciences, such as academic Bachelor degrees with a minor in Biology (e.g. BSc in Environmental Sciences, BSc in Biotechnology etc.), equivalency will be evaluated based on scientific competences and skills The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Overview
The Master of Biology from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel gives you the freedom to steer your own programme. You can choose from several profiles that allow you to develop your interests. Additional elective courses ensure that you can choose one or two courses from other biology profiles or from another master’s programme.
Broad and practical choice of specializations
Would you like to further specialize in biology after earning a bachelor’s degree? Or would you just like to keep open the possibilities for various opportunities? Both are possible at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. The modular system used in our Master of Biology offers a broad and practical choice of specializations. After successfully completing the two-year master’s programme (120 credits), you are:
* Master of Biology: Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology * Master of Biology: Environment, Biodiversity and Ecosystems or Herpetology * Master of Biology: Human EcologyWithin each of the three main specializations, you have a wide choice of research-oriented profiles.
