Overview

In today’s business world, strong business development skills have be­come a vital, central part of company management and development. Companies and organisations need to develop their businesses, busi­ness models and processes rapidly and efficiently in order to meet the ever-changing needs and demands of customers and of society. For this reason, more and more companies are hiring business developers to carry out key management and development tasks in order to safeguard their existing markets and gain competitive advantage in new markets.

Programme structure

First semester

– International Business Strategy and Leadership – Advanced Business Economics – Business Research Methodology

Second semester

– Business Model Development – Advanced Marketing Management – Aanalytics for Decision-Making

Third semester

You can choose elective courses within your areas of interest. The courses can be taken either at Aarhus BSS during the semester, at the AU Summer University or at one of our more than 300 partner universities abroad. You can also participate in internship programmes either in Denmark or abroad.

*Fourth semester *

Devoted to the Master’s thesis. You may freely choose the topic of the thesis and thereby get a chance to concentrate on and specialise in a specific field of interest. The thesis may be written in collaboration with another student or it may be the result of your individual effort. When the thesis has been submitted, it is defended before the academic advisor as well as an external examiner.

Career opportunities

The MSc in Economics and Business Administration – International Business Development will give you in-depth knowledge and experience of working within a company. Using that knowledge of the company and its markets, you will be able to critically analyse the company’s internal processes with a view to optimising them. You will be able to conduct a professional analysis of the market potential of a new business area, product or service. You will also be well equipped to develop the company’s strategy.
