This course is designed for students interested in a career in marketing within the fashion industry. Graduates will be ideally placed for jobs such as merchandising, fashion-buying or advertising and promotions.
The course offers a foundation in business, economics and quantitative techniques and develops the interpersonal skills necessary for a successful career, as well as integrating the principles of marketing within the fashion industry.
We have close links with a wide variety of commercial and industrial companies, such as Du Pont, GlaxoSmithKline, IBM, ICL, Marks and Spencer, Porsche and Royal Mail, who have all provided successful past placements. You also have the opportunity to participate in a study exchange with one of our partner universities in Europe, North America or Australia.
The course offers valuable exemptions from the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Professional qualifications. We are also an accredited centre of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Institute of Direct Marketing and the Market Research Society.
As with all our courses students have the opportunity to complete a work placement, which will usually last for one year. During this time you will be employed by the company and will subsequently be paid; for students on placement salaries have ranged from £11,500 – £14000.
