As part of the application procedure where you are examined on master playing level, we 1. Name, instrument, education and department (classical music, jazz etc.) A relevant portfolio is required. Digital recording requirements: • YouTube recording without breaks of representative quality not older than 6 months Entrance Exam: 1. First round of selection based on a YouTube recording, study plan, motivation letter and curriculum vitae submitted by the candidate. 2. Second round, live audition and interview about the study plan (45 minutes). After each selection round you will be informed about the outcome. - We advise you to make sure you have an authenticated birth certificate ready, as you may also need it for formalities upon arrival in Holland. |

Then the Master of Music at the Prince Claus Conservatoire could be the suitable study to achieve your goals. The Prince Claus Conservatoire is internationally known as an innovative institute of high quality with a large regional and international network. The Master of Music at the Prince Claus Conservatoire is there for ambitious musicians who want to develop themselves in a self-chosen direction.
The study route Classical Music is aimed at students who are ambitious, have a high level of playing, are curious and who want to work hard to become a top musician. Every year you take part in big projects such as the Hanze Symphony Orchestra, the string orchestra or any kind of ensemble. There is also the possibility for an internship at the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, the Johan Willem Friso Royal Military Band, the National Travelling Opera, etc.
Career opportunities
After you graduate you can find a job as a musician in a symphonic orchestra or chamber music ensemble, in (one of Holland’s) military ensembles or in a (chamber) choir. Many musicians combine different musical activities. Some even make it to the international concert stage as a soloist. Where ever the future will bring you, we provide all the tools you need to become an independent, entrepreneurial and curious professional.
