Entry qualification

High school / secondary education (or higher) Mathematics corresponding to a Danish level A (375 hours); English corresponding to a Danish level B (210 hours). Physics corresponding to a Danish level B (200 hours); Chemistry corresponding to a Danish level C (75 hours). The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.

Overview

The teaching philosophy at VIA Civil Engineering includes a combination of theory lessons, assignments and project work. You will primarily learn theory through practical assignments, case studies and project work.

At the programme Civil Engineering you will be taught how to design and perform construction. In all seven semesters, you will work with projects that become increasingly influenced by your own choices.

Career opportunities

As a Civil Engineer, you will have the ability to work in bridge and road construction, port construction, industrial construction, housing or geothermal and solar heating.

This means you will have a lot of job opportunities when you graduate.

Most graduates are employed by contractors, engineering firms, or turnkey businesses in Denmark or abroad. Many also work for public authorities.
