Your portfolio should include evidence of independent research in art practice and in thinking, evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the broader contemporary art context, and examples of the development process you use to create your work in whatever medium or media that may be – stills or video (10 minutes, maximum, compressed video please). Please indicate scale, date and materials used in your work. Your portfolio should not exceed six pages in length or ten megabytes in size.
MA Fine Art reflects the diversity and rich complexity of international contemporary art practice within a clear theoretical and critical context. We facilitate art and ideas across the full range of media including; painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, video, web, temporary site-specific or time-based work, and performance art. Contemporary art practice is increasingly interdisciplinary and many artists work both independently and collaboratively at the boundaries of their disciplines.
You will have access to specialist staff, visiting tutors and facilities relevant to all the disciplines facilitated in this programme.
