Overview
In a dynamic, global economy, it is those enterprises that have an efficient and customer-oriented approach to production that are successful. This means they rely on executives, who develop the appropriate strategies, who plan and control production, optimize processes and carry out projects successfully with their team. The Master’s degree programme Operations Management (OMT) offers you a forward-looking management education for this purpose. You acquire both leadership skills and expertise in the fields of production and ERP.
Intensive contact with industry and the practical application of acquired knowledge are of fundamental importance for Operations Management. Well-known companies such as BMW, Bosch, BRP-Rotax, Engel, FACC, Greiner, HALI, Internorm, Josko, KTM, Lenzing, MAN, Magna, Pöttinger, Rosenbauer, Umdasch, voestalpine or ZF collaborate regularly with OMT students in the context of enterprise projects and diploma theses. Numerous OMT graduates are already working in these companies. Committed students can actively cooperate in the extensive research projects on the degree programme. This opportunity is also open to OMT graduates, who want to write a doctoral thesis.
The most current topics geared to the demands of the economy are offered in the compulsory elective subjects which allow individual consolidation in the 2nd and 3rd semester – e.g.:
